My portfolio of wine is focused on a low intervention philosophy with sustainable farming methods. Currently my selection consists of three different wines from Vigneti Vecchio from Etna, Sicily.
Sciare Vive Bianco 2019: 90 % Carricante 10 % indigenous varieties Minnella, Inzolia, Grecanico, Cataratto. 3 days skin maceration in stainless steel. Aged 7 months in 500 liter oak barrel on lees.
Sciare Vive Rosso 2019: 90 % Nerello Mascalese 10 % indigenous varieties Minella, Inzolia, Carricante, Grecanico, Cataratto, Malvasia. All grapes cofermented. 12 day skin maceration and primary fermentation in stainless steel. Aged 6 months in 500 liter oak barrels on lees.
Contrada Crasá 2019: 90 % Nerello Mascalese 10 % indigenous varieties Inzolia, Grecanico, Cataratto. All grapes come from the single vineyard Contrada Crasá. 15 day skin maceration. Aged 9 months in 500 liter oak barrels on lees.
All wines are spontaneously fermented and unfiltered. The vines are between 40 and 130 years old. The cultivation is organic without certification.
